I met a young couple who had converted to Christianity through a spiritual dream where a man in white appeared to the wife. In their home country, it was against the law to change your faith. Your religion was determined at birth by your family. So this young girl with her husband and children were being sought out by her family and the police for the crime of marrying a Christian. So they left their native country and traveled to a nearby land and tried to find believers to fellowship with. I met them and shared a word of hope and then saw them again a year later. They had memorized the word and were so excited to see ”her spiritual mother.” I did not know all the difficulties of the previous year, but God knew and His word was replayed during those days of extreme despair. They now could not work nor leave this country because they could not use their identity cards or passports without fear of being arrested. Then they would be returned to be killed or put in jail. Their faith was so strong and their desire to see others find the real Savior gave them purpose to live. Fortunately after many failed attempts, the United Nations was able to provide them asylum to a new country #3. I pray for them often but do not know where they are…God does!
